Do snakes chase you?
Fear is the reason why the snake may decide to do what it does. When the snake can, it will flee and this is risky to the animals because it is exposing itself to the attack that can take place from its behind. There are cases that the snake may flee towards the direction of the person it is afraid of. Normally, the snake will not wish to bite any person, if it is not going to eat him. Encounter with the people, it can be energy consuming or stressful. The primary aim of the snake in these situations is escaping without being harmed or losing their precious venom or little energy.
The snakes cannot chase humans since they are afraid of humans compared to how humans themselves are afraid of the snakes. Humans are bigger than snakes and snakes see them as a potential dangerous predator. They can try to defend themselves if they are threatened, but when they are left alone, they will leave the humans alone. When humans stay away of the snakes, the better the snake will like it and it is not likely to attack. When the snake has been agitated, it will walk away.
Some snakes are aware of how to avoid the conflict through running away or camouflaging themselves. When a snake is given enough time, it will retreat but when this is not possible, they will bite the humans especially when the human touches them or pokes them. A snake called cottonmouths will also run towards the water when it is afraid. When this takes place, when someone is between the snake and the water, it will seem as if the snake is chasing them.
