What is the most effective bait to trap a residence mouse?

Choosing the right bait, while one are trying to trap a mouse, can be a bit tricky, and it requires some skill and knowledge. While one is choosing the type of bait one want to use, one should consider several important points. The bait simply needs to be appealing to mice enough so that they feel tempted to bite it and enter the trap. In case one choose a wrong type of bait, mice might not be attracted to it at all, and that going to make one’s traps completely useless. Choosing the type of bait one wants to use should be based primarily on whether or not it is appealing to mice.



The second thing one need to pay attention to is to not use those types of baits that could be appealing to other animal species, and attract them to the residence. These would be birds, dogs, cats, mice, raccoons, or other animals. One is left to choose between bread, grains, sawdust, even fruit and vegetables to use as one’s bait. Bread might be the most appropriate type of bait to use, as it going to attract mice, but not other animals. What other foods, besides bred one can use? One can also try using fruit and vegetables, but make sure one opt-in for those types of food that don't have a scent or taste to them that is too strong or sower. Mice are not going to be attracted to these types of foods. Remember, food ingredients using strong scents, like peppers, onions and citruses are believed to repel mice, and they are usually used to create hand-crafted mouse repellents.
