Will a strobing light or high pitch sound deterrent machine work on mice?

Some mechanic set ups are believed to have the ability to scare and repel pest creatures from residences and estates. Some of these products are strobing lights and sound deterrent machines that sell mostly in stores and on the internet. These come in a variety of prices, shapes, sizes and manufacturers, and all of them promise to keep one’s residence pest-free. They mostly work on the premise that strong lights and noises are going to scare the mice away. But, are these tools really effective? Are going to they, indeed, keep the mice out of one’s residence?

Strobing lights are supposed to repel mice from various locations by exposing them and making them feel less safe. Manufacturers recommend to place these to light up the spots mice choose to hide in, so that the lack of dark and feeling unsafe are going to drive them away. As they find one’s residence to be an unsafe place, mice are expected to leave, and the light is supposed to keep new mice from entering one’s residence. Sadly, this is not really the truth. Strobing lights are not really effective in keeping mice away from one’s residence. Mice may initially be scared of these intense lights, but they are going to learn to ignore them over time. Strobing lights may be able to repel mice from one’s residence over a shorter amount of time, but one are going to find them coming back really soon. Mice are quite intelligent, and they are going to quickly learn that these lights are not a threat to them. The temptation to look for food are going to overwhelm any possible fear they might have.

Sound deterrent machines work by emitting sudden strong, loud and high-pitched noises that are supposed to scare mice away from one’s estate. They are frequently set up in front and back yards, also as sheds, attics, and basements. However, these are no more effective than strobing lights, or any other repellents for that matter. Same as using strobing lights, mice might be repelled for a short amount of time, but they are going to most certainly come back when they get accustomed to these noises and realize that these are not an actual threat to them. Most of mechanic repellents are, indeed, not effective. The only way to actually protect one’s residence against pests is to maintain it properly.
